We, at AVIM, LLC, are the internal medicine and oncology specialists under the umbrella of the Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center (CVRC). As part of CVRC, we have the ability to consult with other types of specialists associated with the Referral Center.

We provide advanced medical care when your pet has health problems that are more involved and require specialized diagnostics and treatments. In most cases, your pet comes to us as a referral from and consultation with your regular veterinarian. AVIM wants to develop a strong interactive relationship with your pet, you, and your pet's family veterinarian.

CVRC Sponsored Continuing Education Events

Each year, Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Centers sponsor three full day continuing education events at no cost to the participants, one each in the spring and fall for veterinarians and a fall conference for veterinary technicians. Continuing education is required by the state and our meetings are approved by the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners for credit.

The 8th Annual CVRC Spring Conference is being held April 21, 2013 at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in Stevensville, MD. The FREE event, which provides 6 hours of Maryland-approved CE and includes lunch, is sponsored by CVRC, IDEXX, Proctor & Gamble, IAMS and Nutramax.
