Advancing Canine Lymphoma Treatments: The Ethos-SOLID Clinical Trial

(At AVIM&O Annapolis)

Study Purpose:

To better understand the molecular subtypes of canine lymphoma (B-cell and T-cell), improve treatment decisions, predict outcomes, and develop new therapies.

Study Overview:

• Dogs receive standard CHOP (or L-CHOP) chemotherapy for 25 weeks.

• Routine clinical staging and lymph node biopsy required.

• Blood and tissue samples collected for molecular analysis (genomic, transcriptomic, liquid biopsy).

• Side effects and treatment response monitored.

Client Incentives:

Study covers initial diagnostics.

$6,000 toward further treatment/diagnostics.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Dogs with intermediate to high-grade multicentric nodal lymphoma

  • Weight > 5kg

  • Peripheral lymph nodes ≥ 20 mm

  • Owner consent is required

Exclusion Criteria

  • Indolent lymphoma or lymphoma originating in non-lymphoid organs (e.g., eyes, kidneys, gastrointestinal tract) without involvement of peripheral lymph nodes.

  • Presence of significant systemic illness (e.g., severe kidney disease, liver failure, etc.).

  • Recent administration of anti-cancer medications (e.g., chemotherapy, corticosteroids) within the past 3 weeks.
