Dr. Teresa Lucibello
Dr. Lucibello was born and raised in New Jersey. Her love for animals grew over the years living in a household with multiple cats, a saltwater fish tank, frogs, and lizards. In high school she developed a strong interest in medicine after being accepted into Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital’s Mini Medical School program and decided to combine her passion for medicine and caring for animals into a career in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Lucibello got her undergraduate degree in Animal Science with a focus on pre-veterinary studies from Rutgers University, graduating with honors, before getting her veterinary degree from University College Dublin in Ireland in 2015. From there she completed a small animal rotating internship at BluePearl in New York City. She then went on to complete a residency in small animal internal medicine at BluePearl in Philadelphia. From there she passed her board certification exams and moved to Maryland where she has been practicing since.
Dr. Lucibello has a strong interest in the diagnosis and treatment gastrointestinal diseases. She is exceptionally skilled in endoscopy, which she attributes to both experience and being an avid gamer. She is also very interested in several recent advancements in treatments for kidney diseases. Outside of work Dr. Lucibello loves spending time with her family, often hiking outdoors and identifying various plants and fungi. She loves cooking, primarily southern Italian meals to keep her and her family connected to their Italian roots.
