Dr. Elisa Heacock was born and raised in Annapolis, MD, and has wanted to be a veterinarian from the moment she could speak. She earned her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Biology from Johns Hopkins University and subsequently completed her veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania in 2020. From there, she completed a small animal rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. 

Dr. Heacock has always been passionate about all aspects of imaging and diagnostic workups, drawing on her extensive experience in this field, particularly with various sports-related injuries. She then returned to the University of Pennsylvania to complete her residency in diagnostic imaging. Dr. Heacock has a strong interest in imaging of the urinary tract and loves performing ultrasounds. 

Outside of work, Dr. Heacock enjoys spending time with friends and family, running with her dog Odie, reading, and boating on the Chesapeake Bay. She is excited to return to Annapolis now that she has completed her advanced veterinary training.
